Japanese Matte Black Clay Teapot

Crafted from black clay with a high iron content, this handmade teapot is designed to elevate your tea experience. The unglazed, textured interior naturally reduces astringency, creating a smoother and more enjoyable brew. Its innovative stainless steel mesh features ultra-fine holes and strategically placed water outlet holes beneath the mesh, preventing even the smallest tea leaves from escaping. This thoughtful design ensures optimal steeping while preventing over-brewing, making every pour perfect.

Each teapot is a unique, handcrafted piece from the skilled artisans at Nankei Pottery. Slight variations in surface texture, glaze, and color make every item one of a kind, with charming imperfections such as bubbles or scattered particles adding to its character. These features are not flaws but rather a testament to the beauty of handmade craftsmanship.

The teapot measures approximately 14.5 cm in length (including the handle), 12 cm from spout to base, and stands 8.5 cm high, with a full capacity of 190 ml. Please note that these measurements are approximate, as each piece is individually made. Due to its delicate nature, this teapot is not suitable for use in microwaves, ovens, gas stoves, induction cookers, or dishwashers. For optimal performance, do not remove the included stainless steel mesh.
